Currently working out of Eye Of The Lotus Tattoos and Piercings here in Edmonton. Give the webiste a browse through if you have nothing better to do, we truly have some amazing artists and I hope to progress my skills further than I have in the last 4 years!

Although my birthday is only 14 days away, it is definitely overshadowed by the impending celebration that is my best friends' wedding, occuring a mere two days earlier.

On top of that, I have a transfer to a new shop on the horizon as well and I am excited to see where this new shop will take me and my industry. I have high hopes!

When the stress of August is done, September should provide a safe haven!

It has been brought to my recent attention that apparently some high and mighty tattoo apprentices (and I emphasize) in my area have been bad mouthing not only the shop I currently work in, but also the artists, although they have never met us or looked at our portfolios. This sadly doesn't come as a surprise to me as my industry is full of shit disturbers. All and all my work speaks for itself and I am willing to put it up against this characters any day.

I can not help but be mildly amused at the fact that although I have and continue to spend countless hours sweating over the design and execution of full sleeve pieces to the best of my young abilities as a tattoo artist, the most popular piece in my collection, titled "Music To My Ear" is still the undeniable front runner of favorites. A tiny tattoo of music notes that took 1 minute to draw and stencil and 2 minutes to tattoo.

O the irony!

Well this is my first journal entry, thought its box was looking lonely, so why not give it a go?

This month has brought a lot of change, some good, some great, all stressful. I am in the process of moving into a house, and packing is a bitch, I honestly don't think there is a single person that LOVES to do it.

I left the tattoo shop I was born and raised in and started my adventure as a full-fledged artist. I am currently working out of a very good friend's studio on Whyte Avenue here in Edmonton, and for the time being it suits me well. Hopefully in the next couple of months I will be moving into my Sensei's up and coming studio. We finally got good news about the spot we were looking to rent in and rejoiced over champagne (I don't drink so I got chocolate milk). It holds the promise of a far better learning atmosphere and the opening doors to opportunities previously unavailable to me. I am sure my skill will evolve immensely with this move, and I am thrilled to be a part of it.

Lots to look forward to, and a gigantic "To Do" list will keep me busy this June that is one thing that is certain!
